Anothers Volunteers Story

Hey Steve,
I am sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you!!  Here are a few stories that I have from my times at MOH!

The first one I want to share is about a women who I met a Hauck Middle School.  Her name was Honey.  Honey is a veteran of the United States Military.  She has three kids I believe and is a single mother.  When she returned from the war in the Middle East she wanted to start going to school.  She was filling out her FAFSA for Federal aid and put all of her information on a faulty site.  Unfortunately this mess-up caused all her bank accounts to be frozen!  Being a single mom and trying to go back to school is tough, but now to have no money.  She was such a sweet lady!  She was so thankful for what we were doing through MOH.  She said that MOH was amazing and she was just overwhelmed by the joy and generosity of the volunteers.  I was able to pray with her and ask for blessing and provision in her life.  She touched my heart and almost brought me to tears.  Stories like this keep me going.  If she was the only person I was able to help, I would still do this!  We really are making a difference in the community and it is awesome!

Another story is about another woman that I met at Hauck MS the first time I was at MOH.  She was a single woman in her 50s.  When I took her food to her car she was so happy and thankful.  She said she was just having a tough month and this food would be so much help.  She hugged me for a good five minutes just thanking me and crying.  Also, she said that the love she felt from all of the people she met was just overwhelming and wonderful.  Oh yeah!! Again, we are making a difference and I thank the Lord the HE has given me the opportunity to work with MOH.

One more thing I want to share is how I feel about working at MOH.  Every time I get to pray with people and give them food I get such a joyful feeling.  There is nothing better than getting to show God’s love to people!!  Seeing the people that were lined up in front of the school since 7 in the morning.. That was humbling.  There is such a need and it is great to help!!

Thank you for this opportunity Steve!! I love it!!!
