Home Group News for this week:

Just a reminder that we are not going to be meeting this week, March 27th and will instead be meeting on April 3rd. I’m sure we’re going to be having a cookie date coming up in the middle of April, I need to confirm that with the church office.

Here is our tentative list of dates for the next few months:
April 3 Home Group — Baked Potato Bar
April 17 Pie & Praise at the Northside Campus
May 1 Home Group — Fiesta Night — Cinco de Mayo
May 22 Home Group — Hawaiian Stacks
June 12 Home Group — Grill Night
June 19-26 Prineville Campout (Family Camp June 23-26)

We’ll talk more about specific details in the near future, but just wanted to give everyone a heads up. I’m going to be gone in Texas at the Glocal Turbo conference next weekend, I hope everyone has a great week.

Home Group Night: Fiesta on October 24

Hola!
Just a reminder that we are meeting this week and it’s Fiesta Night. I’m making Chicken Enchiladas and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone else and having a good time on Sunday evening. If you’re doing your shopping for the week remember that the GoFest is on Wednesday and we talked about a French Theme … I’m not sure what I’m making, I need to do some research.

Another event to add to your calendars is November 14th when we’ll be having an all church get together at Northside. We’re suppose to bring snacks and fingerfoods and the beverages will be provided. This will be a great opportunity to meet people and see the Northside facilities.

See you Sunday!

Upcoming Home Group Meetings!

Hey Gang!
What a great Sunday with outdoor worship and an excellent family potluck following the service. We were pretty small at home group this week but lets just say the food was excellent, Matt Dillon gave it two thumbs up … hamburgers, pizza, KFC-chicken, coleslaw and mashed potatos, and zucchini bars.

Please mark your calendars and clear some space for the Fall Home Group Schedule. I’ve listed the dates through December, hopefully this will help you get organized and available for our upcoming meeting. Our next meeting will be Sept. 26 followed by Oct. 10 & 24, Nov. 14 & 28, and Dec. 12. I think we should tenatively schedule our Christmas Party for the December 12th. I’m looking for ideas with what people want to do? Should we have a progressive dinner or do we want to go out to a place that can handle us at a big table or do we want to do something completely different? I’m open to suggestions.

We’re also looking for a fall mission or gathering activity that we might sponsor or help someone with.

Take Care!

Home Group this Week, September 12!

Just a reminder that we have Home Group this Sunday, September 12 @ Kirsten’s house. We’re back at 5:00pm since school has started and it’s dark by 8:30, which is amazing to me. Any ideas for a theme?

Sunday is a big day, we have Lawn Chair Sunday kicking off the day, so bring your chair and maybe a blanket to keep warm:) Then we have the BBQ afterwards … we’re suppose to bring a salad or dessert. The church is providing hamburgers, hotdogs and the fixings.

Oktoberfest is quickly approaching, please considering signing up for a shift on Sunday, we need everyone’s help so we can pay the church’s way to Celebration NW next year!

Have a great end of the week!

Home Group & Cookies on Sunday, August 22

So … it’s Home Group time again … we’re meeting at my house at 6:00pm. We’ll just say the theme is SUMMER, which means anythings goes. I’m making meatballs and something else. Adults will be meeting inside, kids can play upstairs or in the backyard.

We also have refreshments after church on Sunday. I’m making cherry chip cupcakes. If you have questions, be sure to call, the number is posted on the left hand column. Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday.

Celebration NW & Church Clean Up Day Reminder

This is a reminder that we’re having a massive clean up day tomorrow, July 31st, starting at 9am. There will be jobs for everyone, from cleaning out the creek to throwing junk away to sorting craft items while sitting at tables. We were planning on having this day before Celebration NW was moved to Silver Creek, so we want to make sure we do an even better job with company coming.

If you haven’t had a chance to sign up for Celebration, you still can but it must be done by Sunday, August 1st. If you need help getting signed up, don’t hesitate to ask. I’m more than willing to help people sign up at church on Sunday. The cost is $40 per person with a maximum of $100 for a family. This is an excellent deal and includes six meals (Friday night, all day Saturday and Sunday breakfast and lunch).

By the way, we’re in charge of Saturday mornings breakfast with the Coxen group. We’ll be serving a continental breakfast (like Easter) with biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and ham ane fruit.

I guess that’s it for now, look forward to seeing you tomorrow!
