So … it’s Home Group time again … we’re meeting at my house at 6:00pm. We’ll just say the theme is SUMMER, which means anythings goes. I’m making meatballs and something else. Adults will be meeting inside, kids can play upstairs or in the backyard.
We also have refreshments after church on Sunday. I’m making cherry chip cupcakes. If you have questions, be sure to call, the number is posted on the left hand column. Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday.

This is a reminder that we’re having a massive clean up day tomorrow, July 31st, starting at 9am. There will be jobs for everyone, from cleaning out the creek to throwing junk away to sorting craft items while sitting at tables. We were planning on having this day before Celebration NW was moved to Silver Creek, so we want to make sure we do an even better job with company coming.
If you haven’t had a chance to sign up for Celebration, you still can but it must be done by Sunday, August 1st. If you need help getting signed up, don’t hesitate to ask. I’m more than willing to help people sign up at church on Sunday. The cost is $40 per person with a maximum of $100 for a family. This is an excellent deal and includes six meals (Friday night, all day Saturday and Sunday breakfast and lunch).
By the way, we’re in charge of Saturday mornings breakfast with the Coxen group. We’ll be serving a continental breakfast (like Easter) with biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and ham ane fruit.
I guess that’s it for now, look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Hello!
This is just a reminder that people will be gathering at Robert Frost School on Saturday, July 3rd. We’re suggesting your arrive around 6pm and bring lawnchairs, food and drinks for your family. While we’re waiting for it to get dark and the fireworks to begin, we suggest that you bring along any lawn games to past the time.
This is also a reminder that it’s time to get signed up for Celebration NW. We are encouraging everyone to get signed up, remember you can make payments if you select the write a check option. This is an event not to be missed and I hope you make every effort to be able to attend with your family. Follow the link to register … http://celebration.newfrontiersusa.org.
Hope summer has started off well for all of you!

Just a reminder that we have cookies tomorrow (June 20th). As we said last week … we’re planning on keeping it simple, especially since so many people are preparing to go camping this week. Look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

We had a great week last Sunday on the Big Sunday followed by the BBQ with 281 people gathered together and lots of excitement evident as the new entry was used for it’s first time. Amazing that so many people could eat comfortable without tearing down the auditorium for seating:) Hooray!
This week we’re meeting at 5:00pm @ Kirsten’s House and looking at 1 Samuel Chapter 16. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday and trying out all the delicious Western/BBQ/whatever you can think of food:)

After informally surveying people and finding that several of the groups are not meeting, I’ve decided to cancel Home Group for this week. Have a great day celebrating Mother’s Day … our next meeting will be on May 23rd and it will be a finger foods theme.
Have a great week!

Just wanted to say great job again with our basket for the auction last Saturday. It went for $385 and Brenda did an excellent job of making it look good!
I forgot to mention that we have cookies on Sunday! So … please bring some cookies to share and we will be good to go. I must admit that it’s a lot easier these days since we have more people
Other item … what do we want to do with our Home Group Meeting on May 9th … it was suppose to be our Italian meeting but it’s Mother’s Day I don’t know what people’s plans are … we can leave it, we could change it up and BBQ or have pizza or some other idea … or if people have plans and are gone, we can cancel. Please let me know … kirsten_barnes@hotmail.com
Have a great week!

Reminder — the Youth Auction is quickly approaching on April 24th. We need to buy our tickets for the event and we’re Taking the Blues Away at home and on the road with our Movie Basket which will be auctioned that evening. At this point we have about 25 movies and 1 air popper, 1 popcorn bowl, popcorn seasoning, 1 box microwave popcorn. We are going to need some more things to make our basket great.
Here are some ideas that we could add to our basket:
pizza gift certificate, pop, cute pop glasses, more popcorn, blanket/snuggies, pillows, bean bag chairs or other portable small chairs for people on the floor, ice cream, smoothie maker, cookie mixes, hot chocolate, hot chocolate mugs, etc., large movie candy, gift certificate to movie store, fun napkins, plates, etc., cookbooks with snack ideas, other snacks (to make smores, nachos, etc.)
Good Luck and looking forward to seeing what we come up with!
